The Mondavi and Rothschild families opened Opus One together in 1978 and today the eponymous wine is among the most coveted wines by collectors. Aged for 18 months in new French barriques and 18 months in bottle before release. The 2015 vintage was very good for an Oakville, this particular Opus is characterized by power and aromatic exuberance. The wine has tremendous development potential and collector’s value.
